A trainee pilot faced and escaped death today on November 29,2018 after his light aircraft crashed few meters from Malindi Airport.

The student was alone in the Cessna 152 registered 5Y-NFF owned by the Kenya School of Aviation crashed into an electric pole under unknown circumstances and got damages beyond repair, leaving  the trainee pilot seriously injured before being taken to Malindi Hospital in very critical conditions but a transfer  to Mombasa Hospital was later made for special treatment.

According to a Kenyan online publication The Star, Police have taken up the matter with a view to establishing what caused the crash.
