On a so waited D-Day which was no other than May 26th,2017, at Kigali International Airport, different  smiles of joy and happiness were read on the faces of some people in the airport facilities including RwandAir’s commercial, ground staff,and especially the cabin crew which was working to the maiden flight WB700 which took off from Kigali at exactly 1:03pm(Kigali time) for landing in -London-Gatwick at around 8:00 local time with Captain Kojo and Senior First Officer Esther Mbabazi.

A national flag branded cake was cut upon arrival of the brand new Airbus A330-300 in the presence of The High Commissioner of Rwanda in UK,Amb.Yamina Karitanyi, RwandAir’s Deputy CEO Corporate Affairs Yvonne Manzi Makolo and the Gatwick airport top management.

In a short interview with the press before the flight, Mrs Makolo mentioned that Belgian Brussels city would soon be tagged to Kigali -London route ,which is expected to increase and attract more passengers for different european destinations.
